Unicode Support Soon! (next release - 2.0.30b)

    We are pleased to announce that as of next release Home will be capable of supporting languages such as Russian that require full unicode support. As this will be the first release supporting unicode languages there may be language specific issues that haven't previously been identified so let us know if you find any.

    Finally some good news!!!
    I stopped to use home2 because of this.
    Now it's time to install it again(and start the greek translation).

    No idea what it will include - you are going to have to tell us :) Basically though it makes use of native windows font rendering instead of our own so I assume it's going to work on devices that can draw text. Beyond that I just don't know. There could be things like layout issues due to fonts in certain languages being larger or smaller, right-to-left issues, and may be some problems around date/time formats etc - but will just put it out there and see.

    so I have .30b release, but cannot find unicode support... Still missing polish letters...
    Do I need to change some settings?

    I have the same problem with qvga version and greek characters.
    But no answers or any feedback until now from the developers.
    They just ignore us???

    Unicode support has been added in 30b. Can you verify that the qvga version you have actually is 30b. You can visibly spot the difference for when standard windows font rendering is happening because there is no shadow on the text. You can manually force this by going to Menu -> Customize and setting GDI fonts.

    The version is 30b(I downloaded the file 5-6 times until this morning). I have the option for GDI fonts, but doesn't make any difference. I tried to uninstall, reinstall several times, change all possible options for fonts and soft reset every time but nothing change. I think the PointUI.fonts.cdl file in the cab is wrong(maybe from a previous version).

    I changed to GDI,soft reset etc, but nothing hapens! The text seems the same (with shadow) in both GDI and Bitmap.
