    Thanks again to all developpers!

    Avalaible Tools

      PngToJif by Pointui

PngToJif is a command line utility that can convert single or multiple png files to jif files.

      Win_Png2Jif by giancaleone

This utility is only a Graphic User Interface (GUI), the engine is a png2jif.exe that used whit command line.
The Win_png2jif enable the multiselection of file and the conversion of png in jif in one step.

      Batch Jif Conversion

This tool will create a nice Cab to install your theme or applet.
It allows you to put multiple themes and/or multiple applets into one single CAB (cool for restoration).

      Custom CS Generator by ABCDEFGabcdefg

This great tool allows you to easily configure actions and events on your Home 2 screen.

      TermsEd by gronostaj

This very nice text editor allows you to easily translate or edit any Pointui Terms files.

      Custom Switching by cardefbel

As a lot of people start to change the custom files in Pointui there will be a coming lot of new good looking stuff...
What it you want to switch from my custom theme to blueocean's theme, or to the default pointui theme? You can copy the needed files, but it is perhaps better to automate this => Try this tool!

      PNG2JIF GUI by PeRKoniX

I have been working on a GUI for the PNG2JIF command-line tool. Its based on a drag 'n drop interface.
      Quick, simple, and very useful!

  3. Alot of people may try to use Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop and find that transparancy's don't work; here are some programs i use to help with image editing:

    Editing & transparancy:
    GIMP (Free - http://www.gimp.org/downloads/)

Also you may have seen screen shots of people's phones and are wondering how they got them. There are multiple programs to do this such as:

My Mobler Freeware download from http://www.mymobiler.com/

Simply install MyMobler to your PC/Laptop, connect your phone via activesync, and click the tray icon to install to your phone.

  10. Hi Yoshida,

If you mean sofkeys shortcuts by instance, you could use Custom CS Generator.

I'm having a hard time adding transparency to a PNG file I just created. With GIMP, I create an Alpha channel and then export it, and then convert it with pngtojif, and when I drop it in to JIF reader, it says "Alpha Channel: No" I'm so confused how I make an alpha channel! :( Any insight?

    Posted 7 months ago #
  13. Run pngtojif from command line and add -a parameter, eg:
    pngtojif.exe -a FileName.png

    @ zealster :

Use Convertor to convert your files in batch, This one is always setting an Alpha channel.

Any chance you could release a resolution changer tool. The most useful modes would be

    - VGA to QVGA
    - QVGA to VGA

It should take folder full of .jif files and convert them to the mode selected.

    Thanks

i am new here and i was wondering how exactly can you create a theme?

    i would appreciate some advice...thanks

    Posted 5 months ago #
  20. Hi tony_anthony_ramirez,

First of all you can download the original Tinted theme to see all images it contents.
With a good png editor (photoshop, gimp, ...) you can modify all ressources in it to create your own theme.
Once done, you must convert all png files to jif files (Convertor tool will probably help you).
Then copy your theme folder in \Program Files\Home2\Themes\ and test it (Menu > Customize > Change theme).

    Hey bhopali

The original Jif reader allowed this kind of things but the Designer's here voted to block the modification of their work. I removed the functionality at this time.

If you want to do this, you'll have to ask the designer to give you his/her pngs...

    @costp

Which version of your Jif reader had this functionality?
And when I try to download your v1.2.1 all I get is Jif_Infos, how do I get your current version.

    @reekotubbs

It was till R 0.5.xx I think,I don't even have the source anymore for this one.
The version you get is the current one.

There will be no update from me anymore. I'm too busy @ work and I just started develloping on WiMo also.

has someone or can someone create a custom cs generator for either pointsense or nextgen?

I love the look and design, but there's some 1 click access that I need that isn't available in either applet/theme.

    Thanks!!!

    Posted 3 months ago #
  27. Hi micah576,

Since pointsense or nextgen suite use their own custom.cs files, you'll have to edit this file and add your own mods in it.
Note : I think you could change a lot of click action on PointSense suite (directly in the UI).

    Hi,

Could anyone tell me how to disable title bar? It's bad-looking that date/time displayed double on the top.

    Posted 2 months ago #
  29. Hi yodenso6688,

You can disable WM title bar in Home 2 customize options.
