i also get error messages evertime i have the weather update on anything other than manual

I liked the UiMusic applet, but it is not really Sense looking, so I have made my first mod today, just finished it.. it is an modification on the great applet from Reaper called UiMusic Beta 3.

I deleted most code which I didn't find needed, because whe want albumart, so you will need to install SP2 and load it once, so it is running in the background. Then load the applet.

Its VGA/WVGA tested on my HTC Touch HD :)

Hope you like it

I call the app PointSenseMusic Because it uses files from the PointSense without it will not work properly, works with 1.0.0.1

hey zelendel, can you help me figure out how to get the bottom bar working? i installed everything in the order i was supposed to. several different times in several different ways, and i cant get it to change from the original bottom bar. im using QVGA and finally have all the applets working but the bottom is still the default. here is a screenshot

Ok Here are the files for the MOD done by jlavoie for QVGA. Much thanks for the help. I had a blond senior moment.

Just remove the .zip and unzip it. I use 7zip but any unzip program should work. Copy the files to program files\home2\pointsense\theme

@incubus26jc Ok did you try to change the theme? Was this on a fresh POINTUI install? I am happy to help

yes i did try and change theme. it said it needed to restart to apply the new theme and when it comes back its the same theme. so i probably added the applets to the wrong theme. but yes i have never used pointui until today. so its a fresh install. so, first i installed point ui and opend it and agreed to the liscence. then with it open i installed the 2 qvga cabs and soft reset. then tried to change themes with nothing changing. then i uninstalled everything and soft reset. installed point ui soft reset. installed cabs and soft reset and changed themes with no luck. also does it matter if im running the app or using it as today ui? and all the sudden i have a theme called program files and 7even.

Ok First you should have it set as a today ui with nothing else so it starts on fresh boot. The fact that you have a theme called program files is odd. Ok Try this Uninstall all of them, then go to your file manager and go to program files and delete the home2 file. Then install point ui, let it reg with the server I would say give it like 3 min to make sure. then install the cabs in the order that is suggested. Then when it comes back up after reboot select the default theme and let me know how that goes.

Ok the Pro will only work after you buy it. Yes run point ui befor you install and give it about 3 min to reach the server an grab the files it needs.

Really, do I need to get the Pro version for it to work? Does anyone have it work in the free version?

I got the lastest version, didn't buy it yet.

My problem is that I only got the bar working, and the theme and other things not show at all. Please help.

i just reinstalled everything exactly how you said and its not working. it doesnt change themes. it just adds 2 little bars on the sides at the bottom overlapping the default bar

I need help. The QVGA version will not install on my Sprint Touch phone. I keep getting the unsuccessful install message. I have the latest version of PointUI Pro installed and selected.

I am using the Lite version, (FREE), and it works.
Everything seems good now.

It is just that for free version, the activation menu always pop up...

@incubus26jc and others that have simmilar problem.

i did encounter the same thing. but now it is working. uninstall everything pointUI. i deleted the folder also. after it's clean. here is what i did. (i'm using free/limited 2.1 pointUI)

>deactive point ui today screen
>install PointSenseSuite
>install PointSense.HomeScreen
>activate pointui today screen. as it should work goodluck.

I think the free version should be so you can simply test out Pointui and see if its for you...then you buy the pro version to get more...

Its not expensive, if you enjoy pointui then its no more than a standard application to buy...

Anyway I have a feeling today might be a day of new updates...fingers crossed

You have followed all the steps correctly. I cannot make out why the bottom bar is not appearing. I have a device that many people consider outdated (HTC p3400i) yet PointSense works perfectly. And unlike in your case, it does not slow down my device.

You have to install PointSense to device memory. Have you done so? Otherwise it should work.

Hi, I have the same problem, I am using a cect m88, and have installed the pro version, I also have just the 2 bars showing up on the bottom, right and left.

how do you run Pointui as the today screen? surely the today screen is the today screen?

Deactivate Point ui today screen, how do you do that?

Activate Pointui today screen? I can only see that you can install the suite and the home screen cabs, and then you have the option to see it in your applets screen, and change the order that it's in.

Now I'm sure I'm missing loads here, so I apoligise up front, I would really like to get this going so any help would be good.

i tested it on 2.1.0.4 and it dont works
but with the latest pointui version i think 2.1.0.6c
it works like a charm !
