    Hi all, I guess I am arriving a little late to the party, but I recently loaded PointSense 2.0.0.6, and there are a few things I need help with. I really like the suite, and mostly it works well for me except...

    Is there a solution for notifications not appearing when you press the middle softkey when it has a "!"? I saw that several months ago there was some discussion about this, but I didn't see a fix.

    I also get a weird bug with the calendar - it works fine when Monday is set to be the first day of the week, but when Sunday is set to be the first day of the week, and I skip forward to the next month and then back, the Calendar will not show the current month. So...today is February 6. If I skip forward to March, and then try to skip back to February, the Calendar goes back to January. Skipping forward goes to March again. The day highlighted on the Calendar when it shows January is the correct day - February 6, but it just shows up at the bottom of the January calendar. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a solution? Again, I only get this when iI set Sunday to be the first day of the week.

    I use a Verizon Omnia 910.

    Why are you stuck with ver. 2006? Try out the latest ver. 2011. If you face any problems, we are there to help you out.

    Will upgading to WM6.5 improve performance or stability in pointsense? I have the HTC Touch vogue (cdma)running WM6.1 and I can't say pointsense runs flawlessly.

    I've read online that 6.5 is a bit better but I just wanna know if it's worth upgrading to it for pointsense.

    Going to 6.5 on my ATT Tilt was the best thing I could have done. The latest build (23529) works beautifully if "cooked" by the right "chef". As a matter of fact, as far as I know, no devices on the market are running a build close to this one off the shelf. PointUI runs pretty well on 6.1 on my device, but PointSense is a bit resource hungry. It faltered on 6.1, and some of the prior 6.5 builds I've tried. But, on this 23529, it's near perfect. My only persistent issue with Sense is my bottom buttons disappear sporadically. Overall, there are no more issues.

    I hoping to upgrade my phone very soon to the HTC HD2, and I think I will still prefer this app over the new HTC Sense. We'll see...

    Ok, please bear with me.. I'm quite new at all this and I could use some very BASIC help!

    I've actually had some decent amount of experience using Pointui Home 2 (just playing with the different themes and applets) and I've had PointSense 2.0.0.6 running smoothly for a few days now. I've experienced no problems. I just can't get past the basic operation of it though. These are the things I need an understanding of (ok ok... step by step instructions!). Believe me, I've searched and searched and searched the forum for answers.

    1.) I still haven't figured out how to add applets. I can add extra screens but how do I get applets running on them?

    2.) How do I install more widgets? My experience level requires step by step instructions on what .cs files to replace, edt or whatever and the exact folder locations I need to access.

    3.) This is more of a bonus: How do I replace the soft keys? I like the simple look I've seen in this thread with just the + and ^ and phone icons with no background. I believe Puwu had this theme, but I could be mistaken. Is that possible with my free version? I have an idea how to do it but I still need the files (although I'll need instructions!).

    That's it for now. Hopefully this thread and PointSense aren't dying! I tried other UI's but came back to Pointui and PointSense because that's the best combo right now. Thanks!

    @wazzuvius: with this release you can't use applets. You have to aplly my mod ( http://community.pointui.com/topic/pointsense-2011-beta4-appletmod ) to reuse them.

    I thought applets were still able to be used through version 2.0.0.6? I previously had 2.0.1.1 beta but went back to 2006 so I could hopefully use applets again. Do I need version 2004 or older? How stable is your mod?

    @wazzuvius: you're right, with version 2.0.0.6 you can use applets indeed. For my mod, stability depends on how many applets and widgets-screen you have. On version 2.0.0.6 I could only have 3 pointsense screens, and one or 2 other applets. Now with my 2.0.1.1 mod I use 7 widgetsscreen and 5 applets. But it all depends also on how many graphics you have on your screens. I own a Touch HD with windows 6.5 and 20 mb pagepool.

    Installed and working okay ...

    BUT, after I close Home2 and restart it, the widget is way off center everytime.

    Any ideas please?

    hi there,

    i just installed the pointsense beta 2.0.1.1 in VGA by removing the old home2 folder and copying the hom2 folder from "wVGA 2.0.1.1 BETA by blueocean with some mods v0.4 by Zepiii".

    it seems to run ok, but i have the following issues:

    1) Internet Shortcut

    when i want to put an internet shortcut to the home screen, the favourtite selection is empty, and i can't select anything, so i cant put up an internet shortcut on the home screen.

    .

    2) Weather - partially solved

    weather is not available when i update it for germany, munich, i only get N/A.
    it works for other cities, like new york. how can i fix this ? sometimes i get the weather screen when i click on the weather on the home screen, sometimes i get "shortcut not found".

    edit: PointSense/cities/Germany.xml had wrong entries for german cities.. changed the accu weather string to: "EUR|DE|GM002|MUNICH" instead of "EUR|DE|GM002|MÃœNCHEN".

    still sometimes the "shortcut not found" error comes up.

    .

    3) Home Clock - Shortcut not found & Time not correct - partially solved

    the clock is 1 hour forward. in the upper bar the clock is right, but the main flip clock is 1 hour later. when i try to click on the flipclock i get "shortcut not found".
    when i change the weather to new york, the clock is 5 hours late.
    this is just wrong, i mean, its ok that the clock updates with the city you choose, but munich is gmt +1, so i would have to set my system time to gmt+0 to get the right time on the home screen. but gmt+0 as system time is not the right time for other applications. hope you understand what i mean..

    edit: got it.. i had to hold the item until the green move screen comes up, then 1click the clock to get to the settings and unclick DST (daysaving time) as it shows the wrong time (1 hour more) for munich. still i can't click the clock and get to the clock screen from wm 6.1 to change my alarm.

    .

    4) disabling Icon Text - solved

    i got the google maps shortcut on the main screen now, but it displays "google maps" under the icon. is there a way to switch off text under buttons ?

    edit: solved by holding the button until green move screen comes up, then 1 click and select disable text

    .

    5) updated SMS Home-Button - solved & question

    is there a way to put a button on the home screen for sms (clicking goes to sms screen) and which updates with a number (of sms) when i receive a sms ?

    edit: possible by adding a pointui-message home button.

    are there any other more colourful / wm 6.5 icons to use instead of the point ui message icon ?

    .

    6) Music / CD-Box

    when i go to the Music/CD page i shall click on the CD Box to start it, when i click it, i get "shortcut not found". do i have to install something for this ?

    .

    7) switching email Accounts - solved

    on the email page i get only the outlook emails and can switch them, not my other mail account. how i can i get to my other mail accounts ?

    edit: solved by holding a button or also holding the screen und til the green move screen comes and 1click it to change the account.

    .

    8) Quick Links

    on the home screen in the upper bar i can get to quick links. problem is, i can't edit and change the quick link buttons, and i dont need all the htc and xda links for quicklinks. how can i delete them and put in my own weblinks? nothing works for me like holding the buttons or moving the screen or pressing the lower pointui button (just takes me back to home screen)

    edit: i found a QuickLinks.xml in the Home2/Quicklinks Folder, i can sure edit it, but isn't there another way to do that from within Point UI Sense ?

    .

    9) Coloured PointUI Home Buttons (SMS, INTERNET, FAVOURITE CONTACTS / APPS)

    are there any coloured pointui home buttons/icons (like wm 6.5 instead) for the shortcuts to favourite contacts and for the applications button or is there a way to change the icons for them in the home2 dir somewhere ?

    can i manually change my red opera "O" icon to the nice pointsense blue planet icon ?

    edit: i d/l the jif viewer, and found in themes/pointsense the following jif: Button.Primary.Navigation.Messaging.jif

    now i just need to know a way to make this one a colourful message icon with the same jif function (display the number of new sms oder emails and without display the grey "messages" typo)

    .

    10) Changing Screen Names

    When i click on + in the lower right corner, i can change my screens, add screens, remove last. when i want to change screens, they are alle named "Screen 1", "Screen 2", ... how can i put names to the screens like "Home" instead of "Screen 1" or "SMS" instead of "Screen 4" ?

    bugs i found:

    when i tried to add a shortcut for google maps on the home screen the whole thing crashed leaving me in wm 6.1 main screen. when i try to restart pointui, it doesnt work anymore, switching the phone off and on took some time to load pointui, but it worked again, giving me the correct homescreen

    Everything was working great BUT NOW ...

    My time is not updating anywhere - Top Taskbar, all flipclocks (large and small)

    Can someone help please?

    I have never had this issue before ...

    Only just today ... I have re-stored a backup from yesterday, but it still is a problem. Think I will re-install Home2 and PointSenseUI Theme etc ...

    Any other ideas?

    Update.

    1. complete ROM reflash,
    2. installed PointUI 2.1.0.6c (started/closed),
    Note - Flipclock applet works 100%, with time updating correctly
    3. copied PointSense Suite WQVGA/QVGA - BETA 2.0.1.1 files to install directory
    4. Added Clock widget
    Note - Time now not updating

    Have now tested on WM6.5.3, 6.5.1 and 6.1 ROMs ... all the same - not working :(

    Basically, a complete re-install (minimum PointSense)

    Help please ...........

    Press and hold the right hand "+" button, then a menu appears where you can choose to update the weather.

    Try running a "clean" from SKTools (delete all items that it finds). I find that this clears up a lot of "funny" things that happens to Pointui and Pointsense.

    If you don't have SKTools try running the free CleanRAM utility available on xda-developers website: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=514333 I have this running on a 3hr schedule and it helps keep Pointui/PS from crashing etc.

    I have no + button on my screen. Therefor I can not update my weather. I just get "no data" any ideas why I would not have a "+" button. At the bottom I just have "menu" on the left the pointui button n the middle and "contacts" on the right. I do have the Point Sense theme selected. Any help would be appreciated!

    hi, i'm using a vga device (htc athena). the problem i face is that whenever i add a widget, it adds out of the screen, so i can't even select and drag it. I have tried changing the screen resolution with real vga program but it doesn't affect pointui...

    any idea how i can fix the prob?

    I simply cannot keep myself away from Pointsense. I use the modded Screenhome.cs by cardefbel to switch between applets & widgets by centre click on the bottom bar. So I can use the widgets of my choice as well as the wonderful “Hydrogen” applet from the Adrenaline Suite.

    Cool ! Isn’t it!! Look at my screens. The first screen is the Hydrogen applet.

    Ok I have a question, I read the instructions and it maybe because of the language translation but I cannot figure out how to put this on my phone...when I drag and drop it into my phone it just loads up the pro....so my question is what do I need to do in order to get this onto my pro...

    @CaptainCalamity,

    You need to install Pointsense - VGA or QVGA depending on your device. Go to Page 99 and see post #2945 by Zepiii. Download the zip file, and unzip it. It will create a folder named Home2 containing the required files. It is convenient to download and unzip on a PC and then transfer the files to your device.

    Now, shutdown Pointui, overwrite the Pointui Home2 folder with this one and restart your device. Load the Pointsense theme and Pointsense should work.

    I have installed 2.0.1.1 beta with zepii mods.

    All work alright, except screen REFRESH: when i receive a sms or a missing call, it isn't shown untill i change screen or i enter into a menu or i run an app and exit again to main screen.

    Anyone have this problem?

    anyone please help me, i'm so new to this app and wanna install it to my samsung omniapro b7610 wvga 480x800 but so many links here and i dont know which one i should install first if anyone can arrange and manage the link sort them or make those all-in one installment this would be so great not just for me but for every one specially rookies
