    Hi, just started using HOME and am liking it a lot. Lots of nice apps developed, too.

    I'd like to know if there's any way of removing the line that has the date and time, since I use the BigClock applet with that info on it already and the time is also on the top START bar, so it's repeated 3 times.

    If the button to access the applet ribbon configuration could be repositioned, or the applets placed higher up against the START bar, I'd have some extra screen space - I like photos on my home screen :).

  2. Delete these files in your theme:

    HomeScreen.Title.jif
    HomeScreen.Title.Selected.jif

    You also will need to remove them from the Default theme as if it doesn't find them in the active theme it will look there as a backup.

  3. That will mess with the theme itself. I didn't find it very helpful the first time I did it.
    It may work on your phone

  4. Good point. It would be best to replace them with 1x1px blanks in your active theme. However it can still make things render weird, but you do get that ~20px of vertical screen space back.

    Tried replacing with 1px high jif and it still showed the bottom half of the default date and time. Deleting seems to be working ok at least for now.

    Also got me to edit the BigClock applet to just show the date in short format so that it doesn't overlap the icon :)

    Thanks.

    if the files are removed...then i have another problem. the applet icon overlaps with the applets on the top of the screen. i have read that the search bar can be removed by using transparent jif files...anyone who can create the transparent jif files for HomeScreen.Title.jif
    HomeScreen.Title.Selected.jif
    i do not need the space...but i already have the date and time using the sonnar applet.

  7. If you delete the files, then the applet should shuffle up to the top, but the applet indicator button will sit over the top of the top-right corner of the applet. In Pro you can use Custom.cs to remove the top bar (and applet indicator button if you wanted).

    Run.
    Command""remove.the.top.bar.or.I.will.sell.you"

    }
    }

    Actaully Amir, I have asked that question a lot but still no satisfying answer. I hope they will answer you.

  10. Currently if you use Custom.cs you can hide the title and aiIndicator controls on the home screen. Also set their bounds to zero height etc so they don't factor into layout calcs.

    However, for 2.1 Pro we have taken a much bigger step in opening up customization ... the app script files (all of the script that makes the Home app run) are all available for you to get in and change, so you can customize it much more effectively once 2.1 Pro is out - basically just chop the top controls out of the code completely so they don't even exist.

  11. So definit answer is to wait for 2.1

    Thank you Joel.
