  1. ...Install Home 2 on my device

      1. Check your screen resolution : QVGA-WQVGA or VGA-WVGA
      2. Download the corresponding latest version of Pointui Home 2: always avalaible here
      3. Copy the downloaded cab on your device and click on it to install it
      4. Go to your Today settings to choose Pointui Home 2 today plugin in the items tab
      5. Enjoy!

PS: to start/stop Home 2, you just have to select/unselect Pointui Home 2 today plugin

    ...Add a theme

      1. Download the theme on your PC
      2. if it's a cab, copy it on your device and click on it to install it
2bis. if it's a zip file, uncompress it on your PC and copy the theme folder on your device in the directory \Program Files\Home2\Themes\
      3. To change theme in Home 2, go to Menu > Customize > Change Theme.

If you can't apply a theme, thanks to check the theme structure which must be like this:
      \Program Files\Home2\Themes\ThemeName
Under this folder you must find all __.jif files

    ...Add an applet

      1. Download the applet on your PC
      2. if it's a cab, copy it on your device and click on it to install it
2bis. if it's a zip file, uncompress it on your PC and copy the applet folder on your device in the directory \Program Files\Home2\AppletRibbon\
      3. To launch it, click on the Applet Indicator (on the upper right corner) and click on the plus icon to add it.

If you can't load an applet, thanks to check the applet structure which must be like this:
      \Program Files\Home2\AppletRibbon\AppletName
Under this folder you must find at least this file: AppletName.cs

Don't forget to use Home 2 Help assistance!!!
(always avalaible in Menu > Help)

    ... Use the Search

I Have recently installed your app and I'm very impressed so far, this is really great work.
I am looking to install the applet 'System Internals' could somebody help me on how to do this, as there is no folder inside the zip file.
I am running your latest version 2.028 on a touch diamond

    Thanks

    Dom

  3. Hi dommars,

Yes. Orlando should rebuild his zip file for including the applet folder.
If you want to install this applet, you must create a folder SystemInternalsV2 in this folder \Program Files\Home2\AppletRibbon and copy all zipped files in it.

Hello. I have followed your instructions to the letter and am still not able to run any applets. I have been able to download numerous themes and the process should be the same but for some reason it is not working. I made sure to install in program files\home2\applet ribbon. I looked in each folder of the applet I have installed to make sure there were no other folders inside of folders. What else could I possibly be doing wrong? The icons show up in my applet ribbon (ie a sun for weather, clock for big clock) but when I select them nothing happens. Please if someone could offer any help I would greatly appreciate it. I am greatly enjoying this software and am not looking for anything too grand, I just want to know what the weather is in farienheit where I live. Thank you in advance to whomever responds.

  15. This might help - seems "Search" links to live search, probably through your browser -

goddesszoi: Try "topbar" "top bar" "time date" "time & date"

I would really love to learn how to create my own themes for pointui and the various applets, as I am constantly amazed by what people like hellbender, Nimche, and many others have been able to do. I just don't know where to start. It seems to be a matter of replacing the .jif files with the ones you like then bumping them around till they fit correctly (although I am sure I am over-simplifying).

I looked through the pointuitorials and there doesn't seem to be much direction there for a beginner like myself. Does anyone have any suggestions or hints to get me started?

    Hi,

I've installed PointUI (Build 2.0.30b) as a panel on my Xperia. While attempting to change themes, I found the icons that most of the themes use are too small for the X1i's WVGA display.

Since most of the themes here are available in VGA and QVGA formats, which is the one that's most compatible with the SE X1i?

I think there are actually a few WVGA themes out there don't remember off the top of my head, just check the them sticky. I think I remember a fantasy one or something like that.

  22. Hi angusrouse,

In fact, all VGA themes and applets should work on your Xperia.
I don't think there is dedicated WVGA themes currently.
On the contrary, some applets are specifically designed for WVGA resolution.

    Greetings fellow instructions fans,

We really need to standardize instructions for all applications. If folders need to be created, then this should be part of an instruction that is launched with the original zip, not something that is overlooked and hit upon by trial and error.

Good instructions will tell us how to install into the Application Ribbon, and whether we need to create subfolders. A second set of instructions might be with regard to using the actual software.

    Thanks,

    Zen

  24. Just what I was looking for.

    Thanks a lot =)

But this should be stickied in the forums or placed someplace where it's easier to find. I don't like looking for things, but I was desperate to find out if I was installing them right.

    Thanks.

it was in the previous version of home and they dropped it in the new so they have more space to make bigger applets...
