***UPDATE: There has not been any changes to the actual theme (yet), but I have added many other AQ Edge styled theme files. Files such as AQ Edge styled phone dialing skins, calculator skins, calendar skins, media player skins, and much more. All the credit goes to my pals over at XDA. Scroll down for more...

This theme is still in development, so any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.

*I liked the original Home 2 theme, but it just didn't feel sleek enough for me. In turn, I've created this theme with a clean aqua feeling. You can change the wallpaper if you wish. It will look good with any blue background. I have worked many hours on this design, so I hope you enjoy it.

If there is enough interest I will create a VGA version of the design.

**INSTALL: 1. Unzip the AQ Edge folder 2. Drag and drop the AQ Edge folder into: Program Files > Home2 > Themes

*In customize options: Auto size background: Yes

-The White Flip Clock on main screen is of course scottcrsi's Flippen Flip Clock

I really like this theme. However, I think you could do some work on the the home screen buttons. Just jazz them up abit! I use was using the Blue Light theme but I do think that I'll be using this after a few adjustments.

Rennat: I Agree that the Main Icons could use some spicing up, but I have tried some things, and nothing has looked better then what I have right now.

Do you have any ideas for re-vamping the buttons? Does anyone have any ideas?

Great theme :)
I added the searchbutton from default theme as well as a modified Terms.XML in order to have it operational (only for WQVGA devices like Omnia etc.)

I loved it!...I would like to suggest that as I press Menu the icons within the black square boxes shine as you have shown in screenshots above...but if the color of icons shined according to background...it would be AWESOME!!!

For some strange reason, i get that its unable to write target file.

"Error writing to target file! My Storage\AQEdgeWQVGA.zip\MY Storage\AQEdge\Actions.Background.jif"

Hm.. what could be wrong.

Definitely a nice theme with a great potential!
But I think you ought to enlarge the bottom bar. The signal and battery meters seems way too heigh for the space available.
I would definitely use it if you made a VGA version.

Ideas Appreciated: I love the simplicity and shine of the buttons the way they are right now, but if any one has any creative ideas to enhance them, or to add pizazz to any other part of the design, Id love to hear your thoughts.

On vga: I will put together a vga version of AQ Edge when I can get a solid break from my hectic schedule, but it may take a bit. To other theme creators: I am not sure what the best way is to go about converting the theme to vga without a loss of quality? I figured I would need to redraw all the elements in P.S.? Any ideas?

Sag Mava, "but if the color of icons shined according to background," Your talking about different colored versions of the theme, correct? Red, green, ext, for different colored backgrounds? That would just take quite a bit of time converting colors over to create a new version. Was their a specific color you were looking for? What background were you trying to match?

Ropeinspector, thanks for your upload! How does the search work? And why is it only WQVGA?

Bobbe, thanks for the tip on the on the battery and signal meters at the bottom, I will consider them. I don't know if I am the only one here that would agree with this, but I do like the small bottom bar. Because it doesn't need to be big, to be useable, and the thin bar also provides extra white space above it, which gives a cleaner feeling to the home page.

Roniez, Is the error is showing up on your phone or your computer(when you are copying over)? Did you try re-downloading it(Maybe the original version?), and make sure you are copying the unziped file over, Home 2 does not read zipped themes. On your phone, are you copying it into program files > home 2 > themes?

love the theme. But, I may have encountered a bug. Whenever I change the profile from loud -> a different profile -> back to loud, the ringtone changes from what i originally chose to the phones default ringtone.

gDaddy, That is wired for sure, but I don't think it is possible that it would have anything to do with the theme :) May be an Applet you have installed?

Hi Greenfire,

sorry for the long response time. The searchbutton fills the free space which is caused by WQVGA/WQVGA displays (e.g. Omnia). On VGA/QVGA devices, the button is not available as far as I know. It is part of the PointUI default theme.

I will update the theme, tweaking a few things and adding a VGA version, when I can find a solid brick of time away from work and school(which is not very often).For instance, I have to read an entire book and write two reports by tomorrow, for school; wish me luck. Unfortunately, I don't have a vga device. I sure wish I could test the vga version theme on a vga phone, if only somebody had an extra HTC touch HD laying around, hint hint :) (haha, I wish..)

I did however add some theme extras to the top of the thread. I added a phone dialer skin, a media player skin, a calculator skin, and many more that all fit in very nicely with the AQ Edge design; Courtesy of members of the XDA community. Check em out.

GreenFire - I can't tell you how much I love this theme. Will you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make VGA version of this? Just from the screens I can tell this is my favorite theme but unfortunately I can't use it because my phone is VGA.
