  1. Hello,
this is my first applet... basically it is (should) be a "control" panel, inspired after the one from Manila/TF3D (that is the only feature I'm missing).

LATEST VERSION: 1.0H "Hydrogen" (build 090422)

ATTENTION LG AND iPAQ USERS (and everyone having troubles with Bluetooth)
LG and iPAQ devices use a different Bluetooth stack (Widcomm) than the one supported by Home (Microsoft). Thus, Home won't handle correctly the Bluetooth. Fortunately for us :) Simonz has posted here a fix for this problem.

Fabliv has created a "WM7 like" skin for this applet... More info HERE.

If you wonder how I choose the release name... well, just to remember you that I'm a chemist and not a programmer! :D

    Features
Communication manager: toggle Flight mode, Phone radio, Bluetooth ("Discoverable" mode available once Bluetooth is ON), WiFi, terminate GPRS connection (if active).

Sounds: switch Automatic (vibrate during appointments), Normal, Vibrate and Silent profiles.

AutoLock: locks the device when turning it off.

Close Home: close Home2 and optionally start another app.

Please take a look at the included "ReadMe.txt" to have a complete list of features!

OF COURSE I'M OPEN TO ANY SUGGESTION YOU MAY HAVE.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TRANSLATORS: In this applet I implemented an "auto-select language" feature (as I described here): the applet auto-selects the correct "Terms.xxx.xml" file. Accepted values of "xxx" are listed here. For example, french users should have a "Terms.french.xml" file, for german users "Terms.german.xml", and so on. Please leave the original "Terms.xml" file untouched, as it is completely ignored by the applet and serves only as a template to create your own translation.

    LANGUAGES SUPPORTED:
    English (of course...)
    Italian
    French: Credits to Fabliv
    Dutch: Credits to ndam

    CHANGELOG

  2. Do you have a screenshot?

I like the idea very much!

    Posted 1 year ago #
  3. No, unfortunately I don't have any screenshot at the moment... This is still in a *very* early beta stage, I didn't even added an icon for the applet ribbon. Anyway, consider that I used the graphics from the "Messaging" applet: just imagine that instead of the messages there are some buttons. :D

This sounds really good. Do you plan it for VGA(WVGA) and for QVGA(WQVGA)?

Very nice so far, perhaps adding a link to the settings of the wifi/bluetooth would be useful.

  6. @Zyphr
Yes, I will make it compatible for both (W)VGA and (W)QVGA.

    @cem22lp
That's one of the features I planned. :)

can you add in the connections maybe an option to turn data on and off? ANd maybe outlook direct push as well? I find that every couple of days I have to reset my device.

Another thing you could add to this would be a sound profile selector, would make it a nice all in one tool

As already said, data connection and sound controls are already in the wishlist. :)

    hmmz,.. only vga, :(
can i save you some time to change the VGA png files to QVGA and post them?

    Posted 1 year ago #
  11. @jhonniedj
I thank you for your offer, anyway I would like to remember you that at the moment this applet is in a beta stage, so the "definitve" graphics are far to come. When they will be ready, however, I may still consider your offer... :)

Sounds like a good applet. I have a QVGA device. But I tried it out anyways. Yes, it was too big and wasn't able to see most things. But I was able to activate the autolock and when I hit the power button to suspend and then woke it up, it was locked! That alone is a major addition to what is lacking in Home2.

BTW...I have a Mogul PPC-6800. Keep up the good work and hope a QVGA version comes out soon.

    Thanks

I agree with jhonniedj, letting him convert the png's to QVGA would save you time and allow us QVGA users to test this for you.

Patiently waiting for the QVGA version.. A must have I think for many :)
Will be absolutely great if you could add a button for "Auto sound profile" i.e. Turn on vibrate during meetings...

The current amount of graphics is in my opinion just about right.

  21. Hi captain,

    Sorry for the delay...
I see that you don't need help anymore ;)

Great work and Welcome in the Applets Store !

    Hi capn,

I have installed your applet even though it is a QVGA phone. The autolock option is covered by the Pointui applet bar. But i can get to it by the dpad button.

The autolock is the main reason i did this. I am using another comm manager with a lock but its not auto.

I am patiently waiting for a QVGA version or an autolock feature in one of the others.

    Thanks

Hey Monte, your help is still very appreciated! If you have some spare time, of course. I'm not good at all with graphics, so if someone could create some nice icons it would be great... I still miss all the sounds panel, so if anyone is willing to show his Photoshop (or GIMP as I prefer) abilities I will hire! :D

    CaptHarlock,
nice applet!! For me the WIFI button does not work yet (Eten Glofiish x500+), but the rest is very nice, especially the locking! Thanks a lot.

    Hi WildSioux,
could you tell me which CommManager this is, that has a lock built in?

    Posted 1 year ago #
  25. @ jojojojojojo

    Damn Eten devices! :D
I had a x500, same problem, WiFi button won't work until you don't turn on at least once WiFi using Eten's Wireless Manager.
I posted on the old forums a fix for this, you need to tweak the registry... if you want I can tell you how to do it.

    Hi jojo

it is this one http://community.pointui.com/topic/myphone-applet Unfortunately it is QVGA at the moment. And it doesnt have the cool autolock.

    @ capt

Although i only use your applet for the autolock just taking up an applet spot. Could you make it show the wifi name when connected? For everyone else now and when you make a QVGA version. Thanks

[Home 2 version]: 2.0.18b Free QVGA
    [Device]: HTC Touch Dual
    [Language]: English
[Description]: if i "sleep" my htc with the power button, when I wake it up I just have to unlock, nice
if the htc goes to sleep by himself (after 1 min battery time out) the htc freeze when wake up
This happens sometimes but only if I use this applet and the auto lock feature.

Very nice job you've done, everything works as it should on my ETEN M600. This is an extremely useful applet, looking forward to updates.

    Capt_Harlock,
would be great to know the registry tweak!
Anyways, with Pointui and your nice App the Glofiish is becoming much more attractive again. So I think I'll keep it:o)
(with the next hrad-reset I think I will skip ALL Eten apps, like Wireless Manager..)

    WildSioux,
    thanks for the link!
