Well, it's way too large for a start.. You have a limit of 26 pixel vertically for VGA, 13 for QVGA. You're going to have to lose that tick at the very least.
Convert the image to PNG, and make sure the background is transparent, then resize it accordingly and use the PngToJif utility on the PointUI site.

I have the latest Point ui release installed but i still cant get the weather working. is used the patches on the first post of this thread but to no avail. wht am i missing

"Can't get the weather working" isn't exactly a very good description of your problem. What EXACTLY have you set up, and in what way EXACTLY is it not working?

Sorry about the vague post. i see other posted images of this today screen that have the weather as text and an image. but all that is showing is a letter "S" with no image. or sometimes a cloud. but it is sunny with no clouds but your weather applet has it correct

Are you using QVGA or VGA? If QVGA, did you install the correct QVGA version? Have you tried updating the location (a long press on the icon). What you describe used to happen with an earlier version of Sonnar.Today in QVGA, but it was rectified ages ago...
Can you post up a screen shot?
BTW, the separate weather applet isn't mine... It's Blueoceans'.

I am sorry I AM AN IDIOT. i installed patch .08d over the the v.08b. i scwrewed it up. but i re-installed it and it worked perfectly. thanks for your patience

weather not working for me too. seems like weather.com doesnt have a rss feed for singapore =(

Hello everyone, just one question:
Can you tell me where to find the icons used fof the SonnarUI? I mean the icon of the "microtheme", and other stuff you used for this fantastic theme!!
I'd like to modify them to adapt it to my screen resolution, if I will be able :-S
EDIT:sorry, i forgot to say that i'm searching the PNG icons, obviously

Well, seeing as the originator of the SONNAR theme has dissapeared, I'll see about posting up all the graphics I have for it.. Gimme a bit of time to get them all sorted out.

I am reviving the SONNAR suite as DARK MATTER UI. I've already redesigned the today applet. It will also include an accompanying and matching theme 'SUBSPACE'.

the problem is that the app is outdated ...
the app is not updated for version 2.1.xx
you can run it with older point ui 2 versions pre 2.0

Wow, been quite a while since I've been here. Had lots of stuff going down in RL and just haven't had the time. I've not even updated my Home 2 in aaaaaaaages!
I'll try to get myself up to speed on changes in the last few months, and if there's any interest, maybe see about updating Sonnar Today for the new version...
