[Applet][QVGA/VGA] Binary Clock UPDATED 5/07 V1.1

(24 posts)
  1. I have a friend who really likes binary clocks and since I couldn't sleep tonight I decided to make this for him.

It supports QVGA and VGA*, but it should support just about anything you throw at it if you resize the images (included below). (*VGA not tested)

In the Buttons.zip you'll find the psd file with the button template used to make the default choices, along with the QVGA and VGA png files.

    Changelog
5/07/09 v1.1 - Added option to switch between 12/24 hour time. Fixed horizontal centering issue. Halved starting vertical position to fit with more themes.

5/01/09 v1.0 - Seems to be pretty stable so I moved it to 1.0 release. Added functionality for changing button colors on the fly. Click the Gear and click on "Change ON Dot" or "Change OFF Dot" and you'll be presented with a list of options. To add your own custom dots, create your jifs and throw them in the folder. Then update colors.xml in the BinaryClock folder with your new dot following the same format. Enjoy!

4/30/09 v0.3 - You can now enable/disable seconds showing on clock. Press the gear/cog and hit Enable/Disable seconds. (You'll also see something about colors, but it's not enabled yet) Also made the placement of the dots happen with a bit more awareness in the script.

4/29/09 v0.2 - Fixed bug with right hand column not updating when minutes < 10

    4/29/09 v0.1 - Initial release

    To do
Add functionality for changing colors on the fly - next release?
    Maybe add seconds columns

Maybe it's because you are not using PointUI in Full Screen Mode?

Yeah, you may need to vertical allign your buttons to the bottom of the screen as well if full screen doesn't work.

  16. Mine not working. Samsung i760. Point UI v.2.0.28e

It just stays off. All the dots. No movement.

If my off dot color is blue, they're all blue.
If my off dot color is blck, they're all black. etc.

I tried to wait one minute see if it resets. nothing.
    Soft reset. nothing.

I still keep it on my screen, though 'cause it looks cool.

Same issue as pandabear. All dots are either on or off. Or am I just an idiot? 2.0.28e home and i910

    Thanks!

  18. Can you guys try upgrading to 2.0.30b for me? I thought I originally had this working in .28, but maybe not?

I just reinstalled the applet on my Phone (HTC Mogul, QVGA) and it works, and a friend just installed this today and it worked for him. (HTC Touch Pro, VGA)

Great applet. Phantastic to show "I AM A NERD" :-)
Unfortunately I am using Home 2 not in Full Screen Mode, so it is overlapping with the buttons below. Can I change this to fit onto screen without using full screen mode? And How do I make the gearwheel invisible, like in your first picture?
