    yesssss, It's working on my device ;o)

    May I do some suggestion ?:

    - taping on the album focus the main player (S2P Core Mort WMP ...)
    - the command bar (next pause etc)
    - can be "shaded" so the cover image can be "under" the command bar and more large
    - play/pause buttons can be merged in one and then there is space for one/two more (volume - toggle shuffle /repeat one-all / switch display mode... )
    - switchig display mode
    - show album art and current song
    - show playlist
    - remove the top bar (More space for buttons/album art/playlist), the "settings" button can be at the same place but I do not see the need to display the player name

    I've made a quick photoshop to illustrate
    Enjoy and thanks for your player.
    Seb

    Why waste time and coding to support 15 different Players? From what I understand you don't really even use the desired player anymore once it running and you switch to this applet, or am I wrong. S2P seems to be the best because it is free and supports album art. I don't know maybe I'm missing something? I'm in the same boat as all you guys, I have an Omnia with touchplayer. But if it's going to create a buggy, bloated applet, maybe we just all get the S2P?

    + 1 !
    I totally agree, and S2P is great and integrated also with S2U2
    Too much players support = buggy for sure

  6. I agree with Qdoggy... but let me remember you that even S2P is *not* a player but just a "frontend" for Windows Media Player - infact you can check the system requisites on A_C's homepage, S2P wors only on Windows Mobile *Professional* as it needs Media Player for working. So the applet could just support Media Player.

    Thank capt, didn't know that. If S2P is just a frontend itself on WMP then, I wonder if it would be that hard to use the coding used by it to access WMP from the applet?

  8. I guess that S2P simply uses command line parameters... but I don't know for sure.

    I agree Cap'tain, but windows media player is not really easy to use with fingers...
    so to select album, song etc... it's way more easy with S2P than with WMP
    And S2P integrate nicely with S2U2 who is used by a lot of people

    This looks like the prereq from their site:
    WM5 Phone or WM6/6.1 Professional devices (with built-in Windows Media Player)
    So not just professional. I think all these devices have windows media player built in.

    sebcbien, that's my point, it's not a ease of use issue, once you are running windows media player you switch to the applet and perform all the controls from the applet, you don't use windows media player at all. It just runs in the background, and everyone already has it on their phone, at least the should.

    I totally agree, WMP everyone has it, but the applet cannot add, remove songs, select playlists, sort files etc. to do this you have to switch to the player who have all the controls.
    If you switch to WMP you have to use the stylus ... not with S2P
    So I think a solution is just to support booth players (who are in fact the same) not more.

    But, well, we do not decide, Reaper Do and booth are already working perfectly.

    Ok, I understand what you are saying, at least this gives Reaper more information about what he wants to do with his applet. And since S2P is free to distribute, it might be just as easy to include it with the download files?

    I tried S2P and it is al littel bit heavy on resources, specialy on starting up. I am not an Nitrogen developer, just a big fan, and I must say that is much faster on my mio device.It is also free, so maybe suport for some free players is more reasonable. We could vote to find the most used players, and then the developer of this fine applet could decide.

    Guys, this is a great idea. I love it, along with this new version of home. Microsoft needs to hire you guys, instead of trying to keep you at bay.

    Love to see a music applet pop up. I'd love to try it... but my storage card randomly encrypted it self and locked me out (my encryption was never turned on lol.)
    I use S2P myself, but i am another person who would hope for Nitrogen support in the future as it's extremely quick and has a rather tiny memory footprint. If your on XDA try talking to the Nitrogen Dev.
    But anyway, thanks alot, it looks good and is one of the most needed applets for many.

    Hi guys,

    Thnx for the feedback, i have been reading it all.
    I am currently cleaning up the code. I have decided to have vga support for the next release and not to wait till all functionality is added.

    I have contacted the developer of Nitrogen and at the moment controling nitrogen from another application is not possible. However he will implement this in a future release (maybe the next release as he said its easy to include, but no promises). Untill then I will try to see if its possible to control it by spoofing keyboard presses, but in any case it will be added as soon as its possible to control it.

    In the latest version of Coreplayer they seem to have changed the controls for it, that's why it was not working for Ropeinspector, so currently it does not work with Coreplayer version 1.3.0 build 6213 . I was testing with a very old build i now realize, which was: 111 build 1600.
    Because of this I am still thinking about how best to proceed with the coreplayer control.

    How about now :).
    Updated first post to reflect changes made (check changelog).
    I will be pretty busy the coming 2 weeks so there probably won't be any releases during this time. I will be around and reading/posting in the forums and will get back to developing after the next 2 weeks pass.

    Enjoy Beta3 :P

    Wow, great work Reaper. The buttons are a good size and the applet responds pretty snappy. Another huge plus for this applet is it removed the naggy S2P volume control. When the phone is on vibrate and you auto launch S2P, the volume will remain on vibrate until you click home and change the system volume. Since your already at PointUI, this step is removed.

    Could make it work with Windows player, but not with S2P

    Norkoastal may i ask where did you get those icons on the top bar (start...)?

    Running O2 Flame, WM5 with Media player running through O2Media Plus V20070503b.
    Media Player selected in settings. Start Media Player then switching to applet ;
    tap pause/play buttons produces black screen, (whole of screen) with no recovery but to soft reset. Player audio output continues until soft reset.+

    Here is how you open windows media player with the pause button (you can still use the play button to start/stop)

    Open uimusic.cs

    1) Go to line 370
    2) Edit:
    pauseButton.OnClick = wmpplayButton_OnClick
    to
    pauseButton.OnClick = wmppauseButton_OnClick
    3) Go to line 444,
    4) make a new line (press return)
    5) Paste this:
    void wmppauseButton_OnClick()
    {
    Process.Start("\\Windows\\wmplayer.exe", "");
    }

    Done, copy uimusic.cs back to your phone.

    Also if you have edited your hotkeys in wmp other than left/right, find somthing that looks like this
    Windows.SendMessage(value, "0x100", "0x26", "0");
    Now you want to edit the 0x26 with the key you want, e.g up is 0x25 and down 0x27, use a keybinding tool to find out these codes.

    now do the same again for the 0x101 entry on the line below (0x100 is key down, 0x101 is key up, you must edit BOTH)

    =) have fun the above methods works for all of the players you just need to edit the process start path so it launches the correct program.
