[Applet Updated! 2009-03-05] System Internals V2.1

(135 posts)
  1. This applet shows:
    battery status
    radio status
    wifi status
    used memory
    used storage

Also I have integrated CommMgr functionalities:
    toggle wifi (on/off)
    ringer switch (on/vibrate/mute)
    toggle flight mode (on/off)
    toggle bluetooth (on/discoverable/off)
    toggle data connection (on/off)

I haven't included a timer to prevent useless battery drain. So values get updated evers time the applet gets activated.

    Planned in later versions:
    QVGA support

Thanks MarcLandis for his incredible help

    Update 2.1
fixed memory and storage display disappearing
fixed 3G/GSM switch (thanks again to Marc for another mini application - you rock!)
    fixed bluetooth button position

V2 is nice, but I have a couple issues on my Sprint HTC Touch Pro:

    1. Sometimes I have to leave and return to the applet for the side buttons (enable/disable stuff) to work. For example, if I enable Wi-Fi, I cannot enable/disable Data without leaving and returning. Sadly, it's inconsistent, can't seem to pin it down.

    2. Memory and Storage do not work. Not sure if it is supposed to show internal or card storage, but both Memory and Storage say 0%, which seems wrong, hehe.

  17. 1. I think that only happens with wifi , right? we have the same probs here. stay patient after the click. for some reasons it takes a little bit to disable wifi.

    2. this I can't reproduce. for me and my friends it's working (on HTC Diamonds). I use methods from PointUI directly. So no clue why it isn't working for you.

As well maybe some real developers looks over the code and optimise it a little bit as I am a newbie im coding C# and OO.

    1. Hrm, you might be right... maybe when I noticed it the first 1/2 times I was too sensitive toward the other buttons. It does seem to only be WiFi and only if I don't give it a second.

    2. Is there anything I can look at to help? I attached a screenshot just for visual goodness, lol.

  19. maybe look into the code and add "total" and/or "storageTotal" to the lblLastAct.SetText. so you can see the real values, before i calculate the percentage.

First of all very nicely done, I have been waiting for something that incorporates all of this information. However I too am having issues with the Mem/Storage displays (Sprint Touch Pro). Memory bar reads 0% and Storage reads 50%.

BTW, same matter on my diamond, but only on Storage display, it shows 0%... In which file should I give a try to change this lblLastAct.SetText ?

  25. I've unzipped this to a folder in my AppletRibbon folder, and it creates and icon and allows me to add it to the ribbon on Home 2, but the applet itself never loads, it just skips to the next applet along.

This is on an Xperia :(

  26. Regarding Memory and storage it's strange. I can't complain, as it works for me. Maybe Joel can tell us more, how these to methods work and for what.

@ michaelp. Your Wifi can't show anything as I can see in your screenshot, that you aren't connected to any Wifi ;)

Regarding QVGA I will translate it, as soon as the applet bugs are fixed. Maybe someone can create the QVGA graphics due to my missing time?
