    Since there's no way to exit Home2 from within the application, i have build this little applet.
    You can now close Home2 with just one click :)
    It additionally shows the currently installed version of Home2.

    I only have a QVGA device, sorry. But maybe it works on VGA devices.

    UPDATE
    Sorry it took so long, but now here is the new version :)
    You can now configure an application that will be started, when leaving home. Just click and hold the image to change the settings.
    This functionality is also added in the "Device Manager" applet meanwhile. Thanks to ganzee for the hint.

    Hey really useful :-) what about extending the functionality of Close Home?

    I use IGo My Way for sat nav use and its really memory hungry, I can run it from Home2 but it has to run in restricted mode because Home2 uses quite a lot of memory.

    So what about optionally specifying an application to run after exiting Home2? That way if anyone else needs to run memory hungry software they can still launch from within Home2 and not have to exit then tap start, programs etc (not easy when you are driving)

    Just an idea?

    Hi Guys,

    Seems to display and work on my VGA device. Was it meant to remove the check from the Today Settings, though because it does not do that? It seems to require entering into settings to restart PointUI.

    @Dr_StrangeTrick: Yeah, it's a cool idea! I'll see what i can do :)

    @robjhellis: It wasn't meant to remove the check in the settings. It just closes Home2, when you started it as an application. On my device i created a shortcut to the *.exe in my programms list to start it.

    By the way: I can share the pictures if somebody wants to build a VGA version :)

  10. Greate idea. When I want to update the theme are using, don't want to switch to other themes and switch back. Just close, copy and start again.

    @ PunkGun

    The idea from Dr_StrangeTrick is very good. Can we do nothing with mortscript ?

    I`m not so the expert,but i think if we have an expert for mortscript it must be possible to write a script to exit home2 before the program starts and then after application ends,start home2 again.

    I think it can be very useful to run many other programs,that must have full memory capacities

    Have edited the good work of PunkGun for my VGA

    Copy the attached file ExitPointUI.cs.txt to \Device\Program Files\Home2\AppletRibbon\ExitPointUI\. Rename file to ExitPointUI.cs

    Useful for reducing battery consumption or resetting application after modifying .cs files. Enjoy!

    The zip file below is modified for VGA V2.0.28

  13. I like the applet, but I think it takes up too much space, seeing we can only have 6-9 applets. I rather have this implemented in other applets, like Sonnar. You've done a great job though, thanks! :)

    Nice Applet, but just some help for anyone who has their app list full like me. You can go to Menu, then About, then Disclaimer, then Exit. Kind of the long way around but saves you an applet spot.

    Or you can hack your applets.xml file to include up to a further 3 applets. See this thread

    Ferdimage, That 'Applet Ribbon' was from the last version, 2.0.18 and earlier. The new version frees this space up and provides a button in the top right corner that does the same function of opening the Applet navigation screen

    It will be nice if this functionality is added to home2 core, as a shortcut in the menu screen.

    Great applet, thanks.

    Small mod.
    You can edit the "config.txt" file and name the program as you want, like this:
    DispName=Mobile Navigator 6
    If you choose "none" application, than no name appears.

    Hi PunkGun, sorry ive been away (changed phones) but i;m back now.

    I like this and the configure application is just what I needed, but to make things look a bit more pretty can we have an option to change the icon from the power icon to a user defined icon>

    Great work
