Hey norrin I was thinking that awhile ago there was talk of different color dots for signal. Would it be possible to do that with the battery meter?

Hi NorrinRadd, I know that you are nearing completion of this amazing applet version.

I hate myself for asking this question (and maybe not asking earlier) -

"Was there a reason that when the POWER meter is clicked the slider appears from the right? And similarly, the SIGNAL meter the slider appears on the left. To me, it kinda makes more sense that they appear on the same side as the meter - ie, the sliders could be reversed"

Hope you don't hate me ....

PS - I like zelendel's colour meter concept he suggested above.

I have found one problen in qvga
When I prees the weather tap Al the weather Icons are to low
could you fix this?

I made it like this because when in landscape mode there is not enough room to tap the battery or signal if the slider is on the same side. I'm with you and would rather have them on the same side, I'll see what I can do...

And on that note, I have not added any new features, but I've added a new .cs file focused on speeding up the applet. I apologize for not addressing this sooner, but I was focused, I think, a bit too much on adding more and more features. Though, with this latest fix the speed difference from before is like night and day (plus, not a single feature or animation was removed), it's so much faster!!!! After looking at the code more, I'll ensure I don't let performance tuning slide so much, plus I'm pretty confident I don't need to strip anything out and can probably add everything I and other users want without much hit on performance! ^_^

EDIT:
FYI, this speed fix also contains a fix for a bug I found when trying to change volume if already at max, as well including appt's, statbar and commmgr slider in timers so they always have up to date info, even when ur phone is locked. Unfortuantely, the loading of appt's for each day is still slow and I am working to fix, though the applet overall is much faster now.

I cannot download the last update.
Every time I get a white page. This doesn't happen with the other files in the post.

Wow, the increase in speed is really an amazing improvement, it's subtle but it really makes the applet feel like a complete, usable product. Keep up the great work.

Looking good! You can also translate the days in the Mini-calandar too as I added Terms for that too, just add 1-31 in your terms file and the chinese equivalent. Also, I noticed you did not translate some things in the bottom status bars, let me know if they aren't working or if I missed others. As it stands the only things that can't be translated are the day/date label above the Appointments if it's on a day other than "Today or Tomorrow" and the Month & Year label in the full calendar. I'm working on those, but a bit harder as I like a custom date and to support terms for those I'd have change to using regional datetimes (long or short) both of which do not look good to me, but if you or anyone wants I can update a .cs file specifically for translators to have regional datetimes everywhere.

AS you said Norrin Night and day. Outstanding work as always. Now with the speed increase you can really work on your other ideas with out too much worry. Looking forward to next update as always..... much respect.

I have made translation to all strings with the days in terms file, but only the days for weather forecast are in my local language. The days in calendar(mini and full) stay in english. I'd copy and paste these strings from the original terms.xml to my translated. Have you test them and translation works?

I also want to be able to translate months and dates, so can you post the updated cs file?

with the speed fix, i'm encountering some issues:

1. can't open g-alarm when tapping the time
2. when tapping on the minidates, the date does not appear correctly. it shows "Datefor..." instead of Tue, June 2 for example (the "Today" and "Tomorrow" work though)

That's odd, it may because all the changes I've been making to terms. Try the zip I just uploaded in Post #1 as it contains updated terms and settings xmls files as well which you should update. This should fix it as I don't have this issue and can see G-Alarm alarms and launch it from clock.

I have installed the new "fix" and all still seems 100% (for me).

I have applied various changes to Settings.xml and they work as advertised.

This is one hell of a KILLER Applet that YOU and the original applet developers have made!

now, i've fixed the date/time issue. i did not replace with the settings and terms file of the previous fix. thanks, norrin!

but i still have problems opening the g-alarm. it won't open when i tapped long the time. is it because i have it installed in my storage card and not in the main memory of my device?

1 more issue for me:

after launching the commmgr by long tapping the signal meter, the font of the communication manager is messed up. how strange!

Maybe you missed my above code.
The days for mini calendar are not translatable. Have you test them and work?
I tried even using the default terms.xml english file that the translation is as S,M,T.... but on applet always appear as sun,mon,tue.......
For calendar screen I know that are part of graphics(can you post the Label.Weekdays file to edit it with the translated days??) but for mini calendar I think they aren't.

I returned to this thread for the first time after a busy week and found a nice amount of fixes. Can I assume that the most recent fix file accomodates all the previous fix files or do I have to download all of them and apply them separately?

Hello. The third value of the bar which below the weather label is visibility. It's unit is mi(mile), not meter. 1 mile = 1.6 km.

Hmmm, that's odd the applet should not affect anything outside of Home2. Is your CommManager skinned? If so, if it has even a little bit of transparency sometimes messed up fonts can occur near the transparent parts of the background image.

You need to download the first 2.5RC version which is a complete replacement of the entire MyStatus dir, then download the latest 2.5RC speedfix and apply that. Your current version is an older one without the updated meter slider graphics. Give me a sec I'll upload a complete 2.5RC package to make things easier...

Sorry, yes the mini-calendar and full calendar day labels are graphics and cannot be changed via terms.

Yup, you need to download a complete MyStatus zipped dir, as there have been many changes in the last week. Just give a sec and I'll post a complete zip to make things easier and refer to the install instructions in post #1...
