    SONIC MYSTATUS 2.5 APPLET-MOD

This is an All-In-One Applet that's clean, simple, and full of features geared towards productivity and at a glance info! I am not the original developer of the MyStatus Applet, nor do I take any credit for it. All credits for it go to ivanskj and his original MyStatus 0.6b Applet, which this Applet Mod is heavily based from with added features, while remaining true to the awesome original! I would not have even thought of modding this applet if it wasn't for icho1015's MyStatus Collapsable Mod! It was his mod that I drew most of my inspiration from and got me to thinking, "hey I really like weather in my Today applet too and... wait a minute, maybe other things too!" Of course a big thanks and one of the main reasons (along w/ Monte) for starting this new MyStatus thread are Brsev's amazing graphics efforts on making my Applet mods truly polished and in line with his gorgeous Sonic2.5 Theme! A big thanks and appreciation to zelendel as well for all his hours of testing and feedback, which has helped create some of the new features and thanks to anyone who left feedback in the original thread!!!!

I would also like to thank and give credit to the following developers (I apologize if I've missed anyone) as I've drawn so much inspiration from them and for which without their innovations the Sonic MyStatus Applet could not have been possible! Thank You and much respect!!!!

    zenkinz - Calendar Applet 20090330

blueocean - Accuweather Weather 2.2 Applet

    Orlando - System Internals

    capt_harlock77 - Device Manager

    giancaleone - G-Alarm Integration

s.l.i, creator of ThumbCal - ThumbCal

And of course the awesome PointUi team, Joel, Shane, Monte, and Nick for which making our WM devices truly ours would not have been possible or so much fun and way too addicting!!!! ;p

    Install Instructions:

    Recommendations:
    Theme: Brsev's SonicUI 2.5
Home2 Setup: Align Home Screen buttons to bottom and run in Fullscreen mode.

    1. Backup your current MyStatus folder.
    2. Download and install MortScript 4.1 or higher from here. This is not necessary if you use G-Alarm, but needed for Windows Alarms. Skip to step 5 if you use G-Alarm...
    3. Install MortScript and run executable at least once, then rename the autorun.exe in your MortScript dir to "Home2NextAlarm.exe".
    4. Now copy Home2NextAlarm.mscr from MyStatus zip file to your MortScript dir.
    5. Copy contents of zip file to \Program Files\Home2\AppletRibbon\MyStatus dir replacing all files.
    6. Copy Theme.xml file from zip to \Program Files\Home2\Themes\Your Current Theme dir and replace existing file.
    7. Lastly, to take full advantage of ThumbCal integration download the latest version of ThumbCal here.
    8. That's it, now just re-add or add the MyStatus applet to Home2 and you're set! Any questions, comments, bugs, requests, etc. just post them here and thanks for your support!!!! ^_^

    Bug List & FAQ:

Known Bugs: Note, all weather bugs are at the top of my list to fix!

    1. Weather update bug in collapse mode. Will not update weather for some reason if in collapse mode, only in weather and appt views.

    2. Weather icons positioning issue. After the initial applet load, weather icons are at the bottom for some reason, but the current workaround is to just re-update weather or cycle to the next fave city.

    3. 2nd weather icons overlay bug. For some reason sometimes there is an additional 2nd weather or the 2nd icon shows up when it really should not. Only workaround is to re-add the applet and update to clear them.

    4. Calendar and Tasks screens do not reflect recent changes until applet is re-added.

Great applet NorrinRadd! A couple of things though:

1- Check out the screen shot. The second weather image does not overlay properly
2- Not sure if its only my phone, but it kinda slows down home2. Is that possible?

    Thanks again mate!

another weather bug, if u restart home2 or the applet and do not update the weather, the icons are not aligned and the second images are not over layed. screenshot attached.

How can I get the buttons that you have with your sonic theme? I love those!

hmm got another question, what are the NA, A and the T labels at the very end?

  10. yeah roufs that is an issue that has bothered him for a while. He is still working on it.

Hey Norrin not sure if its you or bsrev but loving the comm manager graphics. Ok I was wondering if you guys had any plans for the system bars? We know there is going to be trouble shooting with those and a few of mine are working that were not from my last post but by just looking at them it is hard to tell what ones are what.

    ^^^ zelendel:

The awesome new CommMgr graphics are Brsev's doing! All really nice and polished looking graphics in this applet are never me... ;p Yup, he's working on the Meter slider graphics as well. Can't wait to see what he does with my badly rushed graphics...

  12. Very nice and coherent applet mod which form a harmonious whole.
    Great work NorrinRadd!

Any news about a VGA version?

And thanks for adding Nick in Pointui Team
Discreet here but so efficient! ;)

^^^ Thanks Monte, it means a lot coming from you!!!!!

I've ensured as best I can w/ the exception of Brsev's Sonic style graphics that all other elements use Device.AutoScale so it works on VGA devices. Once I get through my next 2 releases I'll start testing through a VGA emulator. Brsev made VGA graphics for icho1015's mod, so I'll probably start there...

very good job, norrin! i'm so happy with this applet.

so, are you really going to work on the sets of collapsible panels? i was not even sure if that is doable in reality. that would be the ultimate for me. don't worry, i'll be patient on it. as of now, i'm perfectly happy with your previous release.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but with version 2.5, when I open both sliders, one after the other, I have a difficult time closing them again. In once instance I had to actually remove the applet and add it back to get them to go away.

For some reason thumbcal doesn't seem to be integrating properly. Just to be sure... what am I supposed to be clicking in order to access it?

Oh, and for the weather it works fine if I update it, but the first time it appears the weather icons are a bit off.

I love the concept and the way you have integrated everything. Great job!!!

The terms translation doesn't seems to work. I translate the file, but all strings remain in english. I tried to replace the terms.xml with the translated one, to replace the terms.english.xml with the translated too, but nothing works.
    Am I doing something wrong?

Wow!!!! Thanks everyone for all your comments, I really appreciate it! I've updated the Installation Instructions in post #1 and FAQ/Tips section in post #3, so hopefully all features are better explained.

    ^^^ bcbomb47:
That's odd I specifically coded it so only one slider can be accessed at a time. You should not be able to access one without closing the other. Can you list the steps you're taking to achieve this, so I can debug further, thanks?

    ^^^ heimaheimaheima:
Try removing the degrees character in the Settings.txt file under the attriibute "TempType" or replace it with say, "C" since you probably view things in Celsius.

    ^^^ deviant24x:
I've updated the FAQ / Tips section (#'s 11-14) in post #3 to go over how I use ThumbCal with this applet. Be sure you have latest version of ThumbCal here to make full use of my mods.

    ^^^ zink94:
Thank You! I will work on a VGA version after I complete my next 2 releases, in the meantime might I suggest using icho1015's MyStatus here as he made an awesome MyStatus VGA version.

    ^^^ dancer69:
This is my fault, I have not made use of the terms file much, but in my next release I will be adding full terms support.

Hey Norring I was messing around and touch there meters one after the other before the first meter loaded and it brought them both up. Needed to reload Home to make them leave.

  28. Same for me zelendel ...

I click the "signal strength" to bring up the comm slider, then double click the "battery level" to bring up the other slider - both show.

I close the 1st slder then the second.

    No problems

awesome, this is an extraordinary applet, NorrinRadd, but there is something that is not working so good, and it seems that many others have the same problem, the clock displays a little sun at night and displays a moon in the day, for example at 3:40 pm, it shows the moon. I changed the settings.xml in the line 12or24=24 but nothing happens, any hint??

Thanks for the clarifications on the sliders everyone! I was able to replicate and will push out fix ASAP, which also include some code to speed the applet a bit too. Also, I'd like to know who can help test the data connect feature I am adding that will display a specific data connection icon based on your provider like 3G, 1X, etc. Let me know so I can send you MyStatus.cs files with debug code to display you exact provider name, so I can include it a provider xml file to display certain provider based graphics in the applet.

    Vito Pastorini, Thanks!!!
This is the correct behaviour, as from 12am to 11:59am in will have the sun icon and from 12pm to 11:59pm it will have the moon. I know it seems confusing, but I'll upload am/pm icons for those interested in have a P and A or am and pm show up instead.
