   Hi all,

   With this applet you could:
   -Add a contact with the little add button at the top right (+)
   When you on click on it you can add one of your contact and associate one image (with an extension .jpg, .jpeg, .png and .bmp).
   This contact is added to a "favorites contact list" under the applet folder. The image is copied into the folder "Pictures" of the Applet.
   So even if you delete the original file the contact is displayed with the correct image.
   -Delete a contact of the "favorites contact list" with the top right button (-).
   A list of the "favorites contact list" is displayed and you just have to click on the ontact to delete.
   -Change the image of a contact.
   Click on the top right button (+) and select the contact. After select the new image. It's done.The old one is replaced by the new one.
   -Displayed the mobile phone number and the home phone number of a contact.
   Click on the image or the name of the contact.
   -Call the mobile phone number and the home phone number.
   -Open a sms with the contact mobile phone number.
   -Hold click on contact open for Pro version the Contact card screen and for free version the Windows mobile contact screen

   Correct bugs to be fully compatible with Home 2.1.0

   What is fixed:
   -Keep last contact choice when you come back from another applet
   -Hide arrow if there is no more contact in the list
   -Accentued characters

   What is new:
   Settings screen:
   You can choose
   -long press on any picture to: call the associated contact OR Open contact card
   -Incrementation of the contacts scrolling

   Applet completely rewritten for xml support.
   Improve the speed of the applet.
   NEED COMPLETE REINSTALLATION!

   V0.2
   -Bug of contact information fixed (found by zelendel)
   -Hold click on contact open for Pro version the Contact card screen and for free version the Windows mobile contact screen
   -If you want preserve your contacts list just replace the AMANAContact.cs file

   V0.1
   First release of the AMANAContact applet.
   Available for VGA and QVGA.

   Wow, awesome applet!!!! Great Job! btw, just wondering if you click on the fave contacts on the right I assume it will bring up their details replacing the current one, but if you click n hold will it call them without leaving the current contact details?

   Why don't you call it AlienContact?
   Despite of that, very good work alienworkshop, as usual now ;)

   Also, you know it's in the right place.

   PS: For Wide VGA/QVGA screen only, you could add one more contact picture in the vertical list... And 3 x 2 columns (6 pictures) in landscape mode. Perhaps as an option or automatically detected in your code.

    I found a glitch that I thought I would let you guys know. If you have say the 2nd or 3rd contact in focus and go down the list with the arrow and then go back to first 3 with top arrow the pic changes to 1st contact but number stays for the one prev in focus. Hope I explained it right

    @All: thanks for support me and download this applet!

    @NorrinRadd: OK I could implement that. For pro a link to the contact card screen end for free version a link to the WM contact card.

    @Montecristoff:thanks for adding. I've not a device with a wide screen but I could make a beta and you test it?or nimche?
    And this applet is a part of the AMANA.UI project so I called this applet AMANAContact. At the start this screen is a part of the AMANA.UI but users said to me to create an applet for a more friendly using.
    And yes I think of a browser because nobody create an applet for that.

    Works great but when the contact names are too big (13 letters and more) it will stick out of the screen.

    Alien, do you have any more of the default blank male/female tags in the Amana format like you have in the teaser in the OP? I don't have pictures for everyone in my contacts list.

    Also, is there any way to edit the contact photo without deleting and reloading it?

    Yes you can! read more closely the first post.
    Click on add contact choose the contact to modify and choose the new image. The new image replace the old one but not change the contact.

    Hi Alien,

    I got some responsiveness issues with your applet.
    When focused, i can't slide quickly to another applet.
    Also, switching between contacts by clicking on it takes about 3 seconds to refresh the main contact. Same thing with the down and up arrows, it takes more than 5 seconds to refresh the screen.
    I haven't look at your code yet, but I'm sure you will find a solution ;)

    hi monte,
    I think you have a lots of contacts because I loop in the contact list to retrieve the name, phone number etc... if your contact is at the end of the list it's take time to retrieve the correct contact.I save on the ID of the contact.
    There is solution in fact : it's to save all the informations in a xml file, for example, when the applet is loaded.
    But i've not tried to use xml file with pointui for now.
    Maybe an improvement in the future...
    My code is not perfect but fonctionnal...sorry for that.

    I do get exactly what Monte said and I have only adde 3 contacts to the list. It takes about 2 to 3 seconds to change the applet. I don't know what exactly does but this is how it is.

    I hope you can find the bug.

    I have completely rewrite the applet to improve the speed.
    Nimche, Monte please report if the applet is slow as before.

    So far its down to 1 sec. lag time.

    I will report more but Thanks for your effort Alien/. Looking forward to more options.

    Thanks for this update Alien.
    Better transition between contacts switching.
    However, there is always a lag (about 2 seconds) when pressing down or up arrow. Also, when I slide from your applet to another one (from right to left) there is a weird empty space which appears before the next applet... And if I come back to AmanaContact after that, no more data under the main contact picture (?)
    Last thing: it seems that accentued characters are not displayed.

    arg 2 seconds this is too much...don't understand because on my diamond this is very fast and with no lag...
    What is your device monte?
    Now my code have no loops to search the contacts just read a xml file.
    So I can't do better I think...maybe you have an idea?

    When you return on the applet I load the 3 first contacts and don't displayed the data under the big picture. But maybe you prefer I displays the datas?
    As you want i've no preferences.

    I think to add an option to change the position of a contact in the list.
    But I've no other ideas...maybe community could help me on that ;)
