hi digitalray, hope i can help you, i've modified the backgrond jif's with a black colour and updated the script to set the transparence. added the lines ....SetOpacity(50); so you can change it to whatever you want ONLY VGA

hi there, i d/l the 1.6 vga version, and got my city to display. i also d/l the transparent vga files, becaue blue didn't fit to my other colours. now i have the problem, that i can't read anything because the bg is totally transparent. is there a chance to make a vga background with 50 % transparency in black ? i think that would be the most wanted and suitable background for anyone. it's also the most common used background for other apps. taht would be great. if not, can someone tell me how to do it myself ? which editor i need, and how i put 50 % transparency in the jif or png files ? thanks ! ray

I have been quite busy with work,summer and holidays for some time now. Summer is to short in Norway to work indoors but now I am starting to get back to business. I am planning on doing a new version implementing most of the comments received here. It will take some time because I will try to get the autosize features working properly.

Could you, please, put all instructions for your applet (how to change speed indication, pressure, autoupdate, etc.)in the first post to avoid newcomers read through all posts to find that info.

Just use the version 1.6 (posted 3 weeks ago) if your Omnia is VGA.

Hi, seem to be having some problems installing this applet onto my Omnia (hardly surprising with my tag). Not entirely too sure with the differing updates what I should be overwriting what with, before transfering over to AppletRibbon. Any help would be appreciated.

michaelp: I am afraid this is not related to my applet if you have the same problem with Pointui update. Can you please try to contact the Pointui crew? I have not experienced this problem but I am running a Diamond with WM6.1

@ post 84 screen shot attached. None of my update environments function in 2.1.04 including Home2 Update. YrWeather sits in 'updating' status. (I couldn't get update to work on 2.0.34 either) It is not a settings issue as I do not have this problem with 2.0.30 which I have reverted back to.

lol: I have posted all the PNG files so you are free to make your own if you want. There are free programs that you can use to modify the files like Gimp I can make a new background if you describe a bit better what you want Is it the same background but with some transparency in the background color?

tehamn, I am back from holidays and found your version 1.6 working great.I have one wish though, is it possible you show the most current forecast in stead of the first forecast as downloaded.this could imply that you cannot show the full 5 day forecast,but only the remaining days. in this situation you may consider giving the updated time an alarming color.

Am I the only one having problems updating any 'updatable' applets such as YrWeather, RSSreader, etc for .UIV2.1.04. They all worked fine in V2.0.34 and earlier. O2Flame wm5.

Uploaded new install zip with all files for vga Use the old qvga.zip file for qvga devices. There are no changes to the graphic files

Looks like the YrWeather.cs file is not in the correct directory. Check that all files except the graphic files are in the directory Home2\AppletRibbon\YrWeather\ The following files should be there: conversions.xml Icon.Large.jif Icon.Medium.jif Icon.Small.jif Locations.xml settings.xml terms.xml terms.norwegian.xml (if you want norwegian translation) YrWeather.cs In addition, there should be a directory with the graphic files This is vga or qvga depending on your device The last update did not contain all files so you should have started with 1.1 and then updated with 1.5 and finally 1.6 with overwrite I'll try to get the time to make a full install .zip file later on today to avoid the hassle of the current install.
