UPDATE: Beta release Windows Phone 7 (WP7) styled applet now available (QVGA & VGA)! Full WP7 suite is 85% complete, and will be coming soon in a new thread of its own... ADRENALINE SUITE V2: This suite was born from the great capt_harlock77, creator of the Device Manager Applet! V2 of the suite now combines efforts from both capt_harlock77 and NorrinRadd to offer a more complete suite and experience with less need to apply many "mods". This suite though not targeted to a specific device runs especially well for older devices due to the use of native Home2 functions, look/feel, and minimal graphics use. Despite this, it provides many enhancements/extensions of existing Home2 applets as well as providing newer/advanced functions such as swipe gestures and a screen lock. It will also, with the exception of Temp Unit and GMT automatically adjust various displayed data based on your phone's regional settings. The Suite: Hydrogen - Home/Clock applet, 3 versions to choose from; original flipclock, digital-clock, and analog clock. Digital and analog clock provides additional information including various PIM counts/indicators, Google News, current month calendar (only in analog clock), more weather details, and gestures support. Calcium - Full calendar applet with month and week views, color coding via customizeable categories, appointment lists, and swipe gestures support. Carbon - Control Panel applet, also features an enhancement that ensures Pointui Phone app always starts after a reset (more reliable than delay feature in Pointui Phone itself). Silver - Agenda/Appointments applet. Basically an extension of the Home2 version that includes a customizaeble agenda, appointments list, and category colors for individual appointments. Tantalum - Tasks applet based on Silver applet, which includes quick task sorts/filters (which are semi-customizeable), task status/completion color coding, and is based on GTD (Getting Things Done) productivity principles. Phosphorus - Album/Photos applet based on Home2 native, but extended to include gesture swiping, animations, and a set wallpaper function. Tungsten - Weather applet based on blueocean's wonderful accuweather applet, but extended to add gesture swiping to move between cities as well as including additional weather info like wind, humidity, and visibility. Supporting Suite Functions: HomeScreen TitleBar - A Titlebar that includes a startmenu, applet indicator/menu, running programs access, meters access, sounds/profiles/connections functions, default Comm Mgr access, and Home2 close/restart features. Samarium - Auto-Sounds & Profile Manager Curium - Connections Manager Screenlock & 1st Applet Refocus - A screenlock created by a great community member, cardefbel has been extended to include landscape mode. 1st Applet refocus gives the ability to return to your Home/1st applet from any applet. Note: This is a ScreenHome.cs mod. System Meters - System Meters pulldown that displays memory, storage, volume, and screen information graphically. It also allows realtime adjustment of speaker/ringer volume and screen brightness via gesture swipes. Note: This is a ScreenHome.cs mod. References - Modified the right-softkey so it no longer displays/launches just url shotcuts, but allows setting of a start folder and to launch any file type as long as it has an associated program (requires installation of MortScript 4.2+ to work). Universal Suite Settings Menu - Each applet has their own specific configuration settings that can be accessed within the applet, but this universal settings menu contains all Adrenaline Suite Applets and general suite settings in one location. Installation: 1. Backup your entire Home2 dir. Always do this before applying any new change should you need to revert back due to issues. 2. Unzip entire contents of your chosen package to your Home2 dir. Note: default package uses Hydrogen Analog Clock version. 2a. For original Hydrogen Flipclock version download Hydrogen-Original.zip and unzip to Home2 dir (it will unzip each file to their correct directories). 2b. For Hydrogen Digital Clock version download Hydrogen-Digiclock.zip and unzip to Home2\AppletRibbon\Hydrogen dir, replacing the existing file. 3. Download and install MortScript from <a href="http://www.sto-helit.de/index.php?module=download&action=view&entry=65">here</a>. 4. Restart Home2 VGA-Only Steps: 1. After doing the above steps you will still not have complete VGA graphics as I don't have a VGA device to extract certain Home2 files to. As long as you backed everything up before applying the suite and you still have the Home2 original Slideshow, Today, Appointments, and Tasks applets you can get them. 2. Phosphorus VGA files... 2a. Copy all .jif files from Home2\AppletRibbon\Slideshow to \Home2\AppletRibbon\Phosphorus dir, including the .jpg file. 3. Silver VGA files... 3a. Copy all .jif files from Home2\AppletRibbon\Appointments to \Home2\AppletRibbon\Silver dir 3. Tantalum VGA files... 3a. Copy all .jif files from Home2\AppletRibbon\Tasks to \Home2\AppletRibbon\Tantalum dir 4. Google VGA logo... 4a. Copy Logo.News.Provider.jif from Home2\AppletRibbon\Today to \Home2\Themes\Default dir Note: This suite uses/modifies ScreenHome.cs, which is a commonly used file on other suites. Screens (sorry for bad quality) and release will be posted here. 10-12 Short update: I've released a VGA version, installation is quite simple, just extract all files in your home2 folder. Be sure to backup your current home2 folder, because it overwrites some of the original files. 16-12 Short update: (W)QVGA version has been released. If you're using qvga, please also download the fix, since it resolves a positioning issue for none w(q)vga devices. Haven't tested the qvga version, but it should be ok. Please let me know if there are any issues. When accessing the weather (swipe left) be sure to only use one city, there is some issue with crashing when using multiple cities. Hi guys, after few months I'm back to Pointui. BTW Samsung's TouchWiz is useless and eats up to 10 MB RAM more than Pointui. I thought everything has been already developed for Pointui - it seems I was wrong. Warder's binary clock was nice on QVGA, but now on WVGA it's not so pretty. I'm a geek and binary clock is a must-have for me, so I decided to make my own one. I've called it "Comets" because of the background animation. Download will be available in few days, it's still not finished. (W)VGA-only! <img src="http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/9861/screen01a.png"> <img src="http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/3229/screen02.png"> Red dots look better on the small screen ;) When you press the single dot, you see date instead of hour. Touching anything else on the screen causes four comets to go to four different directions, it's a nice effect but requires good CPU (on Samsung's 800 MHz one, with 32 comets displayed on the screen you get about 3-4 fps). Of course you don't have to use this feature ;) Hope you like screenshots. Every suggestion is helpful for me :)

Hi everybody, I finally feel confident enough to share my first applet with you. I am a total newbie with icons, buttons, etc. and have basically no clue about Visual C. So I have to thank a few people here because their applets helped me to realize mine. Most of the credit must go to IVANSKJ - his applet "MyStatus" was the base for my development. Also helpful where ALF (MyPhone) and ORLANDO (System Internals). As my time (job, family) and skills are very limited I am not planning to support QWVGA. The applet was developed for the SE XPERIA. No idea how it will look on other phones. Any comments, hints, tipps, improvment suggestions, help, support are very much appreciated. I'm building ver 2.0 with optomized code and quite new functions. You may not even notice the difference. -Removed news feed, and replaced with long date. The date corresponds to the selected tab (in other words, it will show tomorrow's date when you select the "Tomorrow" tab). Click on the date to go to the calendar page. -Removed corporate logos for weather and news -Retagged the left tab to say "Today", instead of the time. -Placed a NON-ANIMATED flip clock above the weather, using some code from Scottcrsi, and my own images. (Great job on your applet Scottcrsi). The clock is not, and will never be animated (not by me, anyway). -Increased the weather fonts a tad, to make them more legible. Planned updates: -12 hr version to come soon. -click on clock to bring up alarm setting -add icon for active alarm -click on power meter to bring up power settings -change power meter when device is plugged in *Be patient with me on these. I have little time to play around. And before you ask, VGA is low on my priority list. Sorry. I am only taking credit for adding the collapse function to this applet. I know that this work fine on QVGA devices, since this is what I have. It has not been tested on VGA devices. I now have a VGA device so I was able to test this and get it working. I had to remove the weather so that things would fit on the screen right. UPDATE 4/29/09 There have some Great improvements that have been made to this applet. NorrinRadd has put in a lot of time making this applet better. Here the updates that he has made, I wanted to put them together in the first post. The <a href="http://community.pointui.com/topic/appletdevcalendar-appointment-wvga-only">Calendar</a> portion of NorrinRadd's modifications was created by zenkinz. These are the last updates as of 4/29/09 that have been made to this applet. NorrinRadd is currently working on integrating the sliders from the SlideToday applet. Brsev is also working on new images for this applet to make it fit with his Sonic Theme. This applet was the original creation of <a href="http://community.pointui.com/topic/appletvgamystatus-01b">ivanskj</a>. It was modified by me so that I could hide the bottom portion of the applet when I had no upcoming appointments. I don't wan't to start my slideshow everytime I come back to the desktop (home page) - it stops when you do anything (e.g click some application). And one thing more, I would be very happy if the slideshow could autorun on Pointui startup. I think these are things that are missed in the slideshow - it should work the same as the new Windows 7 slideshow. ;-) Thanks for help.

This UI as a mod on the default interface is about two things: 1) A tidy up of the code handling the buttons. No more conditionals to branch for different buttons in the code for the main class. No more registrynotifications in the main class. All code for buttons (And their countindicators) is handled by extendable classes. Should you add a new class of button, there are only two places you need to edit in the main class to add support for it in (The add widgets routine and the menu listscreen to pick it). 2) A widget system for the buttons that lets you pick which ones you want in which slots and saves the setup in an XML file for persistance. That is it. Apart from that, it *IS* the default theme. Installing changes one file - screenhome.cs Installing adds one file - Button.Empty.jif in the default theme folder It creates one file - buttons.xml in the root folder ALL themes work with it. ALL resolutions supported by pointUI (should) work with it. (You may need a correctly scaled Button.Empty.jif - VGA scale source PNG attached) Please feel free to use this to learn to mod PointUI interfaces, as I feel the changes to the countindicator code alone make it a better starting point than the default UI. It should be fairly easy to add a new button type to the UI, hopefully with one small IF statement and one small line, plus the classes for the new button obviously. If there is any interest, I will do a post showing how to add a different button type, say a bluetooth indicator. I will be developing this further into my own custom UI (Thread <a href="http://community.pointui.com/topic/custom-uiperfect-proportions-for-43-screens-qvga-vga">here</a>), but thought I would release something as a base for other people to pick up on. This is a weather forecast applet for the Norwegian national weather forecast webservice yr.no. Please visit <a href="http://www.yr.no">yr.no</a> for information on the forecast. They have forecasts for a number of locations around the world and they come in english as well The current version is VGA only as I do not have a QVGA unit to test on The first page shows the next weather forecast period. The title is the current town yr.no does not provide current weather so this is the next period. (date and time is shown under the current town) The applet shows the weather icon, temperature, wind speed and direction, pressure, precipitation and sun up/down The small icon in the upper right hand corner is to refresh the weather forecast An auto update function is available. More on this later Clicking the yr.no logo will take you to the yr.no page for the current town (mobile page at m.yr.no) Clicking the weather icon will take you to the next page This page shows the weather forecast for the next 5 days (the 12:00 to 18:00 period for each day) The icon in the upper right hand corner takes you back to the first page Clicking on any of the small weather icons takes you to the detailed forecast for the respective day shown below. Setup: Unfortunately, there is no xml search page on yr.no for adding towns The only way is to edit the locations.xml file Edit the existing items or add more (don't know how many the list page can use). ID- Just use numbers in sequence Name- The name of the town shown in the applet loclink-the link of the weather forecast from yr.no. Just copy from the url field in the browser Click the title field with the name of the town to get to the select location page shown below. The settings.txt contains one user editable value: AutoUpdate. If set to 0, no automatic update is done If set to 1, the application will check if a new update should be ready. Hello all, Many of you may know my "DeviceManager" applet. Now I completely rewrote it, and made it part of a suite I'm working on. The "Adrenaline" suite. :) Right now I wrote down some applets, but just few of them are somehow functional at the moment;in addition, I modified the HomeScreen title bar, adding a lot of functionalities. But let's see in details what I've done so far: HYDROGEN Applet (H - Home) Clock should work correctly. It does support both 12 and 24 hours format. This setting is taken directly from windows registry, so if you wish to change this preference you need to edit your "Regional Settings" in Windows control panel. Top-right "..." button will open the "Clock" control panel applet. Alarms should be reported correctly. If enough space is left, under the next alarm there will be shown a button reporting the next calendar appointment: tap it to open calendar, or tap-and-hold to view a list of the next 5 appointments (tapping them will lead you to the calendar too). This will soon change, as soon as I will complete the calendar applet you won't see anymore the Windows calendar. :) TO DO: Not really much. :) I need to complete the upcoming calendar appointments (but, as said, I need to complete the calendar applet first), plus I'm planning to manage alarms and notifications directly from this applet. CARBON Applet (C - Control Panel) Top-left button: tap to toggle flight mode on and off. When a data connection is active, tap this button to terminate it (of course icon will change). Top-middle button: tap to toggle Bluetooth on and off. Top-right button: tap to toggle WiFi on and off. When WiFi is turned on, the icon will change to reflect the connected or not status. Tap-and-hold *any* of the top row buttons to open the "Connections" screen (see below). Bottom-left button: tap to tggle between "Normal" and "Vibrate" sound profiles. Tap-and-hold to open the "Sound and notifications" screen (see below). Bottom-middle button: not working yet. Bottom-right button: tap and hold to close Home2. TO DO: Better "Sound profiles" management. First of all add "Automatic" profile (i.e. vibrate during meetings), and possibly a time-based management (for example, vibrate during night). Of course, I need to make bottom-middle button working: I'm planning to assign brightness control to it, but not sure yet. Finally, add an option to launch an application after closing Home2 (like old DeviceManager). CALCIUM Applet (Ca - Calendar) This is in a really early stage. It just shows the month view, highliting current day and the week-end days. "First-day-of-week" setting (Monday or Sunday) is taken directly from system -- to change it go to Windows calendar, select "Menu -> Tools -> Options" and set your preference. Sliding up and down will switch to next (down) or previous (up) month. Tapping the top-right "arrow" button will bring you directly to current month. Tapping a day won't do anything (by now...). NOTE: You can change the colors for "week-end" and "today" days: just open the "Common\Adrenaline\Colors.xml" file and edit the values to suit your preferences (or your mood :D ). TO DO: A lot. Show "busy" days in month view (color coded by category). Add week view and (maybe) agenda view. Add dialogs to add/edit/create appointments. Add templates management. HOMESCREEN TITLE Added a lot of things, which now make (IMHO) fullscreen option worthwhile. :) Starting from left, I added a "Start" button: tap it to open the "Programs" list (Home2 version, of course :P ), tap-and-hold to open the "Running apps" list (Home2 version too). Next to it you should have the "operator" name. The date and time aren't displayed anymore (you have the "Hydrogen" applet to check time... :D ). The "No service" and "Emergency calls only", however, will be shown if needed. Finally, on the right there is the "sound profile" icon, and if applicable the connections icons (BT, WiFi and data) will show up. Tap the "sound" icon to open the "Sounds" screen (same as tap-and-holding the sound button in Carbon applet). Tap the operator label or (if shown) any of the connections icons to open the "Connections" screen (same as tap-and-holding the top row buttons in Carbon applet). CURIUM Screen (Cm - Connection Manager) Well, this should be very intuitive. You just need to know that the "Discoverable" option will show up only when BT is active, and that when WiFi is turned on an extra-line will appear, showing the name of the connected network. Tap this line to open the "Network" control panel applet. Finally, if a data call is active, another extra line will appear, allowing you to terminate the data call. SAMARIUM Screen (Sm - Sounds Manager) By now, you can choose between "Normal", "Vibrate" and "Silent". "Automatic mode" will ring normally and vibrate during meetings. I'm planning to add more profiles and volume control. I hope I've explained everything in a clear way, anyway I'm sure it will take you just a couple of minutes to figure out how this suite works. UNINSTALLATION If you wish to remove the Adrenaline suite, follow these easy steps: 1) Remove all the files starting with "Adr_" and the "Adrenaline" folder under the "Common" folder. 2) Remove the "Hydrogen" and "Carbon" folders under "AppletRibbon" folder. 3) Remove the "Adrenaline" folder under "Themes\Default" folder. 4) Finally, remove "HomeScreenTitle.cs" and rename "HomeScreenTitle.bak" to "HomeScreenTitle.cs" under "Common" folder. ATTENTION THEMERS If you wish to create your own set of graphics to match a particular theme, please take note that you should create an "Adrenaline" folder under your desired theme folder and put the graphics there. My applets will search the graphics first in the "{selected theme}\Adrenaline" folder and, if not found, in the "Default\Adrenaline" folder. INTERNATIONALIZATION All the applets "get" the localized terms from one single file, located under the "Common\\Adrenaline" folder. Please note that you must save the file as "Terms.xxx.xml", where xxx is your native language (English, French, Italian, etc.). The "Terms.xml" file is not accessed by applets and should only be used as reference to start creating your own localized version. Yes you read right! The clock now has "Flippin" animation! Hey everyone, I'm really enjoying the new PointUI Home 2 so I thought I would make an attempt at an applet. I haven't coded in about 7 years and I never worked with C# the PointUI C is all new to me so bear with me if there are bugs. This first release is just a static flip clock. I would like to add flip animations in the future but that will come later on down the line after functionality is complete, or at least close. As of right now I am adding more images for buttons etc. and if I do attempt animations it will require lots of images since there is no support for stretching yet. Once there is a more finalized feature set I will release the png files for skinning. I would hate for you guys to work really hard to create a skin only to have it no longer valid for the next release. :) Q: Is it possible to make the clock much bigger? A: It might be possible, but you would have to resize all the images and change some of the scripting. I tried to make most of the scripting dynamic to the screen and the images, but it would still need tweaking. At this point in time I only plan to support the one size. Q: I like the clock, also the transparent one, but can anyone make a black version?? A: As soon as the PNG files are released I'm sure there will lots of people skinning and a black one may surface, or I might create one myself at some point. Q: Its not working completely..it has no flipping action. - So this flip clock doesn't flip :P ? A: As was stated in the first post, this is a static (as in no motion) clock. I plan to add flipping animation in the future if possible, but there are many other more important features I would like to add first! Q: How do I configure the lock for 12 or 24 hour? A: Tap and hold the clock digits, the config menu will pop up. Q: How do you install this? A: Read the install section in the firs post! Q: Is it possible to put the date below the clock? Then try to remove/replace the Flipclock in the applet ribbon. Then try to disable home in the today settings and then re enable it. Kinda like in TF2D ? somebody has done the analog clock, and I wonder if you can merge with his, so that as end user, we can select whether to have analog or digital clock displayed. Could you also add - the option for a stopwatch somewhere, perhaps in the config menu or upon double clicking ? - Add the option (in the config menu) to see seconds as well ? maybe put a backgroundbox (transparent) behind the date so that it looks more like a button? Really looking forward to the ability (thru the plugin) to set a custom calendar and Alarm app. how about adding appointments directly under the clock The other recommendation would be to increase the area of the date, so that big thumbs get to work better. Is it possible to show the network-carrier name next to the date just like in TF3D ? Will it be possible to show the "where" field on the 2nd line of the appointments (1st line to have the time and subject)..That will eliminate the need for going to the inbuilt WM calendar altogether... I already use something to show the battery at the top of the screen...any chance of you having a battery icon underneath the clock showing exact percentages?
